Not every sequence of numbers circulating on the Internet can be unequivocally traced back to a single source. Here you’ll learn where these sequences come from, why their original context is important, and how I work with sources and original texts.
← Back to the Knowledge OverviewSequences of numbers are classified into different Works, instructional texts, lectures, and seminar materials by Grigori Grabovoi described. Therefore, there is no single source from which all the number sequences in circulation today originate. For a careful classification, in addition to the number sequence itself, the original source, the topic covered, and —if applicable—the concentration method described there are also important.
Origin
Grigori Grabovoi's teachings include a wide variety of publications and teaching materials from different years. Number sequences may therefore appear in various contexts.
For me, it's important not just to memorize a sequence of numbers, but also to understand it as much as possible, where it was mentioned and in what context it appears.
Published texts can provide a clear basis for data sets, terms, and concentration methods.
Oral courses and their documented materials can also contain important explanations and instructions for use .
Original Russian texts are particularly important when German translations shorten, alter, or render terms differently.
Source Verification
A sequence of numbers alone says little about how reliably its origin has been documented. That is why I try to distinguish between several levels.
What is the specific notation used for this sequence of numbers?
To which term or management objective is it assigned?
Can the work, lecture, year, or another source be identified?
What was explained immediately before and after the series of numbers?
In the original context, a sequence of numbers may be presented alongside a specific method of analysis, a particular objective, or additional explanations. If only the sequence of numbers is conveyed, a significant part of this context may be lost.
Transparency
That is why, in this knowledge library, I would like to also make a linguistic distinction in the future regarding how well a piece of information can actually be substantiated.
The series of numbers or statement can be directly attributed to a work, lecture, or documented original material .
A statement or sequence of numbers has been documented, but the original primary source has not yet been fully verified.
The sequence of numbers has been widely circulated or cited, but a reliable original source has not yet been definitively identified.
An unresolved source issue is not a problem. It should simply be labeled as such. I prefer to transparently state, „Source not yet clearly verified,“ rather than attribute a source to a series of numbers that I cannot verify.
Translation Work
When working with translated texts, it is sometimes not enough to rely solely on the existing German version. Individual terms can have different nuances of meaning, and sentence structure and context can also influence the message.
That is why, in my translation and source research, I compare the German wording with the Russian original whenever necessary.
What does the source text actually say? What terms are used? How does the statement fit into the preceding and following context?
Does the German version accurately reflect the meaning and structure? Where are multiple translations possible? Where would an explanatory note be helpful?
Number Sequences on the Internet
Today, many sequences of numbers are shared on websites, on social media, in groups, or in private collections. Frequent copying can give the impression that a correspondence has been unequivocally proven.
However, the frequency of a repetition is not sufficient for a source check. The decisive question remains: Where can the statement be traced back to its original source?
That is why, in this knowledge library, I would like to trace information back to its original source whenever possible and indicate when this process has not yet been completed.
Here's how I document things
Where source material permits, I would like to publish data series not simply in isolation, but—whenever possible— along with the information relevant to their context.
Topic → Number sequence → Work or lecture → Year or source → Original term → German translation → Notes on usage, if applicable.
Not every historical source will provide all of this information in the same format. What matters is to clearly show what information is actually available.
Frequently Asked Questions
The number sequences known today come from various works and educational materials. Therefore, one should not automatically assume that all number sequences originate from a single publication.
No. An attribution circulating on the Internet should not be considered a reliable original source simply because it is repeated on multiple websites. What matters is a verifiable source.
Differences may arise, among other things, due to transcription, formatting, spelling, or subsequent reproduction. Therefore, when dealing with differing versions, it is particularly helpful to compare them with the earliest possible or original sources.
I use this to indicate that a sequence of numbers or assignment is known or documented, but that I have not yet been able to unequivocally confirm the original primary source.
This allows me to check which terms actually appear in the source text and whether a German translation accurately conveys the meaning, context, and linguistic structure.
No. A citation primarily indicates where a statement can be found within a doctrine or a work; it is not automatically scientific proof of efficacy.
